Our Studio and the Spectrum

We create games for the Sinclair ZX Spectrum 48k.
Creating games for such a limited memory can be very challenging yet very rewarding.
First the ideas are all sketched out, sprites are hand drawn on graph paper and then mock levels are created.
The memory is constantly checked throughout the design and many tweaks are made within the code.

When we say we push the game to its limits, we really mean it.
Having a great team is essential when creating a game for the Spectrum that not only looks good, but it has to feel good.

Once we are close to completing the game, it is play tested for a month to look for bugs as we fine tune things.
Once complete, it is then tested on a real ZX Spectrum for 3-4 days aswel as the the 128 and +2.
Many joysticks and interfaces are used to check for stability and compatibility.

once we are happy, we then start to work on the art and publication.

The design of Loki

First we draw then design.

Our artwork has to be right and fit our game exactly, which is why many ideas span from our artwork.
